About the College
The Rayapati Venkata Ranga Rao &
Jagarlamudi Chandramouli College of
Engineering(R.V.R. & J.C.C.E) was promoted
by the renowned Nagarjuna Education Society
(1967) in the year 1985.
The college drew its
initial impetus from Peoples Representatives,
local doctors, charitable trusts and commercial
houses of Guntur District.
The promoters of the
College have pursued their mission with such a
zeal and understanding that the College had
over taken the older colleges quantitatively and
qualitatively.
The institute was affiliated to
Acharya Nagarjuna University and was
conferred Autonomous status by UGC, New
Delhi from the Academic Year 2012-13.
The
founder members of Nagarjuna Education
Society and their successors have provided
abundant inputs to turn a mere 3-course-180-
intake College into a 16-course (8 B.Tech.
Degree Courses, 6 M.Tech. courses in
Engineering, MCA & MBA) 1400 intake
college.
The college periodically tested its own
standards and standing among the fraternity of
colleges, securing Accreditation from National
Board of Accreditation, AICTE in 1998, 2002,
2007, 2012 & 2017 and from NAAC with A
Grade in the year 2014.
Being the most
preferred engineering college in Andhra
Pradesh, R.V.R. & J.C.C.E. is well known for
its discipline, technical excellence which will
give top most priority to core-principles,
Human Resource Development and emphasis
on total quality.
About the Department
The Department of Civil Engineering came into
existence in the year 1985 with the inception of
the college and celebrated Silver Jublee (1985-
2011).
Initially, under-graduate programme
(B.Tech.) in Civil Engineering was offered with
an intake of 60 which was later increased to 120 .
The B.Tech.
Programme was first approved by
AICTE in the year 1993 and first accredited by
NBA of AICTE in the year 1998 for 3 years with
'A' grade.
It was re accredited in the year 2002 for
5 years with 'A' grade and the latest accreditation
was in 2007 for 5 years.
In the year 2004,
M.Tech. Programme in Structural Engineering
was started with an intake of 18 with the approval
from AICTE.
About STTP
The maintenance, rehabilitation and
upgrading of structural members, is one of the
most crucial problems in civil engineering
applications.
Decay in structural capacity caused
by premature deterioration of buildings and
structures has lead to the investigation of several
processes for repairing or strengthening purposes.
Strengthening may be needed to allow the
structure to resist loads that were not anticipated
in the original design.
This may be encountered
when structural strengthening is required for loads
resulting from wind and seismic forces or to
improve resistance to blast loading.
Additional
strength may be needed due to a deficiency in the
structure's ability to carry the original design
loads.
In the present program, the causes of
deterioration, assessment of extent of damage,
selection of repair materials and techniques will
be discussed in detail.
Further this program helps
in understanding the practical difficulties by
studying some case studies

We are pleased to inform you that the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Shri Shankaracharya Technical Campus, SSGI, Bhilai is organizing an Online Short-Term Training Program (STTP) on “Multi-Objective Optimization Methods for Engineering and Scientific Applications” sponsored by AICTE during 07th – 12th December 2020.
Eminent speakers from the institutions of good repute will be delivering Expert talks in the STTP through online mode including Lab Sessions and case studies related to the STTP.
This course focuses on multi-objective optimization methods which are used in the manufacturing environment for quality improvement and offline quality control of any process/ product.
The STTP will be focusing on the Indian Infrastructure includes manufacturing, transportation, HVAC, etc.
The program will also discuss theoretical and practical aspects, which are of interest to practicing engineers, research scholar,s and students.
